University of Delaware Archives Image Collection

The University of Delaware Archives Image Collection (UDAIC) is a wide-ranging collection of images relating to the University of Delaware, its history, campus, colleges and community.  Photographs within the collection range from the mid-late 19^th century, with early campus and student images, to the early 2000s. Subject matter in the collection varies across the operation and activities of the University, with particular strengths of the collection including images of University of Delaware faculty and administrators, campus buildings and scenery, student athletics, and campus activities. The activities and operations of the various colleges within the University of Delaware are represented throughout the 20^th century, with a particular large number of images from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and its activities throughout the state with the Cooperative Extension. Images in this collection have been gathered from a wide variety of sources, including offices of University administrators, various colleges and departments, publica relations and alumni relations staff, student organizations and individual donors.
